Sophie Bouy is a Toronto based photographer and designer. Born in Belgium, Sophie obtained her Furniture Design degree from Leeds Metropolitan University. After working as an industrial designer in Canada for 10 years she decided to pursue her other interests. In 2005, she began working as a freelance photographer and graphic designer, as well as designing and making small objects.

Her photo work is focused on object photography for local artist and designers. Her understanding of the three dimensional form is well represented in her photographs. She believes that the "object" itself is the focus, not the photograph. For other photography work by Sophie Bouy, please click here

Her graphic projects range from illustrative work for stationery manufacturers, to more corporate work, producing business cards, brochures, and catalogues. For more samples of illustrative work please visit www.paperframe.ca

Sophie also creates her own objects, designed for small run production. Her first Objects were presented at the ObjecToronto show in 2006 at the Gladstone Hotel. Her objects are witty; some are functional, some are simply objects to be enjoyed for their form and texture.
